- כּוֹחֲלָאch. 1) same. Targ. II Esth. 1:3 ( 2); Ber.18b, v. גּוּבְתָא.Ḥull.47b ככ׳ as black as stibium. Gitt.69a top תרתי מנתא כ׳וכ׳ two portions of stibium and one of 2) אבנא דכ׳ a species of black marble (b. h. פּוּךְ, v. Sm. Ant. s. v. Carbunculus). Kidd.12a אקדיש בא׳דכ׳ betrothed a woman by giving her a piece of black marble (of little value). B. Bath.4a; Succ.51b, v. מַרְמָרָא.
